Dr Aran Moorthy, Owner and Dentist
Born and bred in Perth, Aran was a Christchurch Grammar boy who, after graduating, headed to Adelaide University to obtain his dentistry degree. After graduating, he returned to his hometown and has been working in Perth dental clinics ever since.
Aran is an avid sports fan with his favourites being AFL and basketball. And when it comes to keeping fit, he loves to box it out in the ring (or take a little trek to Everest Base Camp)!
Dr Mark Gee, Dentist
Mark has a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of WA and is an MICDI member.
He performs all types of general cosmetic dentistry, including digital dentistry, working with CAD and CAM machines, making CEREC crowns and creating bridgework and dentures. Mark is the best thing about working at the clinic is the great team – always relaxed yet caring.
When he is not working, you can find him at the beach with his dog, being an eternal uni student (he’s studying at UWA) and spending time with his family.
Mark said his favourite indulgence is relaxing with a good book – or someone that’s read one!
Dr Monica Hernandez, Dentist
Monica originally received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from her hometown Bogota, in Colombia. Today, she also holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery Certificate (General Dentistry) from the Australian Dentistry Council.
Monica performs all general dentistry services but her favourite area of dentistry is cosmetic dentistry. She regularly participates in the latest cosmetic dentistry courses and is always looking for ways to improve her technique.
Monica says the best thing about working at the clinic is the teamwork and the friendly, reliable staff.
When she’s not working, Monica loves keeping herself busy with her family, which includes two energetic teenage boys. A self-described foodie, she loves to explore new ways of cooking and eating healthy meats and foods.
Monica says her biggest indulgence is her children! And, she notes, her passion for trying to achieve excellence in dentistry!
Rami Moorthy, Receptionist
Rami has a Bachelor Degree in Banking and Finance from Murdoch University. Originally born in Sri Lanka, she moved to Perth when she was a child. Rami joined Oxford Street Dental in 2016, and already, she’s a much-appreciated member of the team due to her gentle nature and efficient manner at the front desk.
When Rami is not working, she loves dancing, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
She enjoys getting to know all the patients and their families and following their care. And, speaking of family, Rami says her favourite part of working for the clinic is supporting her brother Aranan, dentist and owner of Oxford Street Dental.
Yolanda, Receptionist
Yolanda works in our busy front office doing reception duties at Oxford Street Dental.
A newcomer to our team, Yolanda says the best thing about working at the clinic is the warm, friendly environment.
She looks forward to meeting you!
Erika Vaicaityte, Dental Nurse
Lithuanian born Erika completed her International Diploma in Dental Nursing at Queen Mary University in London.
As a dental nurse, Erika’s job involves assisting the dentist and looking after the patients at all times.
Erika says the best part of the job is working with the amazing staff and using the new technology the clinic embraces.
When she’s not working, you can find her spending time with family and friends or partaking in her favourite indulgence – travel!
Clique Ndibongo, Dental Assistant
Clique has a Certificate III and IV in Dental Assisting from the West Australian Institute of Further Studies.
As a dental assistant, her duties involve assisting the dentist in day-to-day activities such as set-up, clean-up, chair-side assistance, caring for the patient and making them comfortable.
Originally from South Africa, Clique says the best thing about working at the clinic is meeting new people and learning about where they came from. And, just like the rest of the team, she loves that she works in an environment that feels like family!
When not working, you can find her reading, writing her blog and spending time with family. Her her weakness is chocolate and lollies (!) – and travel.
