Oxford Street Dental is a family and cosmetic dental clinic in Leederville, West Australia. Located 10 minutes’ drive from the Perth CBD, the clinic has been serving the Leederville community since 2008. We’re a Medibank Members’ Choice provider, HCF ‘More for Teeth’ provider, and a Westfund preferred provider, so members get more money back (including 100% for preventative dental)!
The clinic is owned by Perth-born dentist Dr Aran Moorthy (Aranan Murugamoorthy), who practices in the clinic along with dentists Dr Mark Gee, Dr Monica Hernandez, Dr Jason Tang and staff.
Oxford Street Dental is also a QIP accredited practice.
The QIP accreditation rewards clinic for their high level of commitment to excellent dental care and continuous quality improvement within their dental practice.
Oxford Street Dental has a sister dental business, Mills Road Dental, which you can see here!
Oxford Street Dental offer the complete suite of general dental services, with a focus on:
The information provided on this site is intended to improve, not replace, the direct relationship between the patient (or site visitor) and dental healthcare professionals.
Born and bred in Perth, Dr Moorthy has a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide, and has been practicing in WA for many years. Aran was a Christchurch Grammar boy who, after graduating, headed to Adelaide University to obtain his dentistry degree. After graduating, he returned to his hometown and has been working in Perth dental clinics ever since.
Aran is an avid sports fan with his favourites being AFL and basketball. And when it comes to keeping fit, he loves to box it out in the ring (or take a little trek to Everest Base Camp)!
Dr Monica Hernandez, Dentist
Monica originally received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from her hometown Bogota, in Colombia. Today, she also holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery Certificate (General Dentistry) from the Australian Dental Council.
Monica performs all general dentistry services but her favourite area of dentistry is cosmetic dentistry – and cosmetic injectables. She regularly participates in the latest cosmetic dentistry courses and is always looking for ways to improve her technique. Monica says the best thing about working at the clinic is the teamwork and the friendly, reliable staff.
When she’s not working, Monica loves keeping herself busy with her family, which includes two energetic teenage boys. A self-described foodie, she loves to explore new ways of cooking and eating healthy meats and foods. Monica’s biggest indulgence is her children! And, she notes, her passion for trying to achieve excellence in dentistry!
Dr Jason Tang, Dentist
Dentist Jason Tang joined our team in mid-2017 and has been a valued member ever since.
With a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of WA, Jason can perform all aspects of dentistry, including his two favourite areas – general and restorative dental.
Originally from Malaysia, Jason now loves spending time with his family, playing basketball and (best of all) taking his daughters out for a treat.
Dr Nick Albatis, Dentist
Dr Nick Albatis has a Bachelor of Dental Science, Dentistry, from the University of Western Australia (1983 to 1987). Nick was previously working at Roselawn Dental and has since joined us since the merger in 2018.
Nicole Agostinelli, Oral Health Therapist
Nicole has a Bachelor of Science in Oral Health Therapy from Curtin University. Nicole is passionate about promoting good oral hygiene, and also has a strong interest in cosmetic dentistry – especially tooth whitening. She also enjoys working with patients to overcome dental anxiety.
When not working, she loves to be out and about with her border collie, Hugo. Biggest indulgence? Wining and dining!
Banin Dakhfali, Oral Health Therapist
Banin has a Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy from Curtin University. She particularly enjoys paediatric dentistry – helping children maintain their oral health. Banin says the best thing about working at Oxford Street Dental is the diversity of patients and learning a lot from experienced senior staff.
Banin is currently doing her Masters in Education with a hope to further her studies with a PhD.
Angie Gee, Senior Dental Nurse
As our senior nurse, Angie assists the dentist with all procedures as well as caring for the comfort of the patients. And, Angie reminds us, being a team member is also an important (and fulfilling) part of the job.
Originally from London, Angie says that without a doubt, the team of fantastic people she works with – and the wonderful group of patients – is what makes her love her job.
Her favourite indulgence? Travelling and adventure
Rebecca Woods, Dental Assistant
Rebecca has a Cert IV in Dental Assisting, and is part of the team here at Oxford Street Dental. She finds the most inspiring thing about working at the clinic is helping nervous patients – welcoming them and put them at ease, which allows them to change their preconceived ideas of what a trip to the dentist is all about.
When not caught up in the world dentistry, she likes reading and travel.
Levi-Ann Taputoro, Dental Assistant
Levi-Ann enjoys all aspects of her role as Dental Assistant, especially being able to build a rapport between patients and meeting new people every day. When she’s not working, your finder with the family or in the kitchen! (Or possibly spending time at the beach…)
Lina Al-Bayati, Front Office Coordinator
We’re thrilled to welcome the highly qualified Lina to our practice as Front Office Coordinator! Lina holds a BDS, MSc, and a Diploma in Practice Management. Plus, she plans to obtain her PhD in dental public health. Lina says the best thing about working at Oxford Street Dental is the positive, friendly atmosphere.
Lina particularly likes periodontics (the study of teeth, gums, supporting tissues and bone) and while studying, she enjoys the research and data analysis involved in pursuing her MPhil in Dental Public Health at UWA.
Sheisla Riffo Vera, Front Office Coordinator
Sheisla joins Oxford Street Dental as Front Office Coordinator. However, she has a Certificate IV in Dental Assisting from DNA Kingston Training here in WA.
Sheisla has always wanted a career in dentistry and plans to do further study. She enjoys all areas of the industry, although is particularly fascinated by surgical dentistry and implant placement.
For Sheisla, we’re happy to say she reports that the best part of her job is the atmosphere and team spirit here at OSD. When she is not working, Sheisla keep yourself busy walking her five-month-old groodle and eating out with family and friends.
